Sustainable/Green Buildings & Natural Energy 

Renewable, Natural, or Alternative Energy - This energy comes from natural resources such as the earth, sun, and wind which are renewable. Renewable energy is derived from natural processes that are replenished constantly.

Geothermal (earth) power extracted from heat stored in the earth, a geothermal heat pump or ground source heat pump (GSHP) is a central heating and/or cooling system that pumps heat to or from the ground, it uses the earth as a heat source (in the winter) or a heat sink (in the summer).

Solar (sun) energy, radiant light and heat from the sun, has been harnessed by humans since ancient times using a range of ever-evolving technologies, solar powered electrical generation relies on heat engines and photovoltaics. Solar applications includes space heating and cooling through solar architecture, potable water via distillation and disinfection, daylighting, solar hot water, solar cooking, to harvest the solar energy, the most common way is to use solar panels. Building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) are photovoltaic materials that are used to replace conventional building materials in parts of the building envelope such as the roof, skylights, or facades as a principal or ancillary source of electrical power.

Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into a useful form of energy, such as using wind turbines to generate electricity. A combination of solar and wind can supply a building with power as required, store power when required, and supply excess power to the public grid.

Our project management group and engineering teams of resources part of the project can design the system and our trade contractors can build per the design, these energy sources can be captured from it's origin to the building and then distributed to operate the building in a continuous flow or operation and share or obtain credit for excess production.

Green/Sustainable Buildings – Green/Sustainable Design & Construction

Green Buildings, also known as green architecture or green construction, or sustainable architecture or sustainable construction, is the practice of creating structures and using processeses that are environmentally responsible and resources-efficient throughout a building life-cycles, green buildings are designed to reduce the overall impact of the built environment on human health and natural environment by:

  • Efficiently using energy, water, and other resources.
  • Protecting occupancy health and improving employee productivity.
  • Reducing waste, pollution and environmental degradation.

Sustainable buildings materials - Some examples of sustainable building materials include recycled denim or blown-in fiber glass insulation, sustainably harvested wood, Trass, Linoleum, sheep wool, concrete (high and ultra high performance, roman self-healing concrete), panels made from paper flakes, baked earth, rammed earth, clay, vermiculite, flax linnen, sisal, seegrass, cork, expanded clay grains, coconut, wood fibre plates, calcium sand stone, locally-obtained stone and rock, and bamboo, which is one of the strongest and fastest growing woody plants, and non-toxic low-VOC glues and paints.

Vertical High-Rise Farming - Food Production (all year round Production: Fruits, Vegetables, Grains, Fish, Poultry (Eggs & Meat), & Pigs.

Vertical Farming is a proposed agricultural technique involving large-scale agriculture in urban high-rise or "farmscrapers". Using recycled resources and greenhouse methods such as hydroponics, these buildings would produce fruit, vegetables, Grains, fish, eggs and meat from chicken. It is estimated that by the year 2050, close to 80% of the world's population will live in urban areas and the total population of the world will increase by 3 billion people. Each acre in a vertical farm could allow between 10 and 20 outdoor acres of farmland to return to it's natural state, vertical farming would reduce the need for new farmlands due to overpopulation, thus saving many natural resources.

Energy Production - Vertical farms can generate power, methane digesters can be built on site to transform the organic waste generated at the farm into biogas which is generally composed of 65% methane along with other gasses. This biogas generate electricity that can either be consumed at the farm or aded to the grid. Other sources of energy are geothermal, wind, and solar.

Floor space for vertical farms, vertical farms can start with an entrance lobby open 2 levels with cafe and restaurant on part of the lobby 2nd level, the middle of the building will be the vertical transportation (elevators and stairs), all other space at the 1st and 2nd floor can be packaging, distribution, and wholesale & retail store. On one side of the tower, starting from the lower level, crops can go as many floor levels with an orchard section and a restaurant at the very top floor level. The other side starting from the lower level up, hydroponics & farm workers living accommodation can go as many level as required with hydroponics and processing, fish and accommodations, and water storage floor levels as many as required.
